In Nonviolent Wilmington

Ending violence is not just a matter of law enforcement,
but requires a culture shift and systemic change.

THE ENDLESS CREATIVITY OF THE PEACE-LOVING HEART

In Nonviolent Wilmington, poverty, hunger, homelessness, and inadequate education and health care will not be tolerated because our standards of human decency will not allow them. Disputes will be resolved through peaceful conflict resolution and reconciliation, rather than violence, incarceration, and isolation from the community.

To achieve this goal, we will harness the many streams of human possibility into a river of peace: humanist and religious thought – political and educational institutions – economic and business institutions – government and the criminal justice system – and the endless creativity of the peace-loving heart.
